⚖️ WHAT TO DO? File a complaint as soon as possible
1. Where and how to file a complaint?
- In person:Go to any police station or gendarmerie brigade.
- By post:Add a letter to the Procureur de la République (Tribunal de Grande Instance of the place where the offence took place). Find out more at http://www.justice.fr/fiche/porter-plainte
- Online: For property offences (theft, damage), you can file a complaint directly online at Ma sécurité.
2. Why act quickly?
It's important to file a complaint as soon as possible and to report an assault to the TCL quickly so that we can use the images from the 10,000 video-protection cameras to identify and convict the assailant.

Good to know:
- A minor can file a complaint alone.
- Any police or gendarmerie department in France is obliged to receive complaints.
- The handrail is not a complaint, it does not trigger an investigation and is a simple statement of facts.

Good reflexes in the event of harassment or danger:
