TCL Carte bancaire
The TCL Carte bancaire service lets you use your contactless bank card or any connected object as a ticket for travel on the entire TCL network (bus, metro, streetcar, funicular, P+R, Navigône*).
To use the Navigône service with the TCL bankcard service, a specific fare applies.
⚠️ TCL bank card service is valid on most lines in zones 1 and 2, it is not available in zones 3, 4, 5 and external.
How does it work?
- Present your contactless bankcard or your connected object (phone or watch with the NFC function activated) on the red validator
- The message "Travel validated" is displayed. You can travel freely on the TCL network for 1 hour, validating at each connection
- You'll be debited according to your consumption from the next day
The fare adapts to the number of trips made
- 1 trip = 2,10 (unlimited journeys on zones 1 and 2 of the TCL network for one hour, connections possible)
- Daily cap: Beyond 3 trips per day per person, a cap of €6.90 is applied. Attention the TCL Carte bancaire service does not allow the purchase of the Pass Tribu, the latter remains available only in distributors or TCL agencies.
- The rate may vary according to certain events or special conditions:
- Pic Pollution Pass, when implemented: a rate of €3.50 per day is applied (compared with €6.90 on a normal day), in zones 1 and 2. This rate is activated from two validations in the day: if only one validation is made, the amount charged is €2.10.
- Pass TCL en fête, when implemented: a rate of €3.70 per day is applied. This rate is activated from two validations in a day; if only one validation is made, the amount charged is €2.10.
- For Navigône, the €3 rate is applied for one-way trip and €5 for one round-trip.
The very next day, your bank account is debited for the amount of trips made.
Validate at each connection
At each connection, present your bank card (or connected object) again at the validator, and the message "Voyage validé" ("Trip validated") will be displayed. If you have previously validated within the hour, you will not be charged again.
In the event of a check
In the event of a check, show the check staff the medium (bank card or connected object such as a phone) you used to validate on the network. For example, if you validated using your phone, you must present it to the control staff. They only have access to the information linked to the validation.
Park and Ride
Park and Ride facilities are free to use. Exit is free provided you have made a round tripoutside the immediate perimeter of the park-and-ride facility and present, at the exit terminals, the bank card (or connected object) used to validate your journey during the day. The same medium (same bank card or same connected object) must be used for the entire journey.
If not, it will cost you the price of an exit ticket €20.
Credit cards

All CB, MASTERCARD and VISA credit cards are accepted.
It is also possible to use your smartphone or connected watch equipped with NFC technology such as GooglePay, ApplePay, SamsungPay,...
Travelling with several people using the same bank card (or any connected object)
You can now travel with several people (from 2 to 5) using the same bank card or any connected object.
You simply need to present your bank card again on the red validator within 10 seconds of the 1st validation. You get the message "Passenger 2 added"... and so on up to 5. You have 10 seconds between each validation to add an additional passenger.
- Only one validation at the P+R exit is sufficient, that of the cardholder
- In case of control: show your bank card to the controller who will see how many "tickets" are valid
- In connection: you will have to validate as many times as there are passengers
The "+": the group can evolve during the day. A passenger can leave home alone and pick up 2 friends on the way. He will then have to validate his credit card 3 times. If this action is completed within the hour, the system will know that there is a connection and 2 new "tickets".

Receipts and histories are not available for travelers validating via a connected object.
