SYTRAL Mobilités pursues a proactive policy of maintaining and renewing its infrastructure and equipment. The aim is to offer the best possible travel conditions and comfort to TCL network users. A vast action plan has been deployed to renovate and modernize the network's escalators and elevators.

The forthcoming work will take place in two phases: 

  • From March 2026 to the end of 2027, with the replacement of 24 elevators in 12 metro stations: Monplaisir-Lumière (metro D), Bellecour (metro A and D), Gorge de Loup (metro D), Grange Blanche (metro D), Parilly (metro D), Vieux Lyon (metro D), Guillotière (metro D), Hôtel de Ville-Louis Pradel (metro A and C), Garibaldi (metro D), Sans Souci (metro D), Saxe-Gambetta (metro B and D), Laennec (metro D).
  • Between 2027 and 2029, with the replacement of 23 escalators: Parilly (metro D), Laennec (metro D), Grange Blanche (metro D), Montplaisir-Lumière (metro D), Sans Souci (metro D), Garibaldi (metro D), Guillotière (metro D), Bellecour (metro lines A and D), Gorge de Loup (metro line D), Jean Jaurès (metro line B), Debourg (metro line B), Gerland (metro line B).
