What is TCL E-ticket?

TCL E-ticket is a mobile application that lets you travel on the TCL network using your phone. It allows you to buy tickets, then validate them directly with your phone, and replaces the TCL card. TCL E-ticket offers direct access to your travel card balance, the validity of your current trip and a store for purchasing tickets.

How to change the application language?

The application supports French, English, Italian, Spanish and German. The application automatically adapts to the language chosen in the phone's settings

What happens if I've forgotten my phone and I want to travel?

As with a TCL card, your phone is necessary for the journey.

What happens if I'm checked when I have no charge left in my phone?

Same as with a TCL card, your charged phone is necessary for the journey.

Does the TCL E-ticket app work to access Park & Ride facilities?

Yes TCL E-ticket allows you to obtain a ticket and access the TCL network (depending on the zones chosen) : bus, streetcars, metros, funiculars, river shuttle and Park & Ride facilities.

How do I buy a title?

Go to the "store" page and select the title you want. You can then confirm your purchase: your new title will automatically appear among your other titles. When you make your first purchase, you'll need to enter your credit card number and expiry date, as well as your telephone number and e-mail address, which will then enable you to receive invoices and reconstitute your transport card. Each time you make a purchase, you'll be asked for your verification code (CVV).

Why did my payment fail?

First of all, check your e-mails: when a payment fails or succeeds, you should receive an e-mail. A payment can fail for a variety of reasons:

  1. Your payment card details are invalid, your balance is insufficient, and so on. Check that your card is valid and has a sufficient balance.
  2. If you are using a new payment card, check the information entered.
  3. Depending on your country, you may need to call your bank to authorize your bank card for online, cross-border or foreign transactions. Some cards may be rejected (Discover, Mastercard) depending on the country.
  4. For security reasons, your bank may prohibit an online transaction. Contact your bank and let them know that they must authorize these payments.

I have a discount for subscriptions or tickets

Discounts are not available on the app.

I have tickets/subscriptions that I want to transfer to phone

This function is not available.

Is it possible to obtain an invoice when purchasing tickets via the app?

Yes. After each purchase, the customer receives a credit card payment receipt and a proof of purchase by e-mail. In addition, in the "Account" section of the application, click on "Justificatifs" and then on the envelope opposite the ticket concerned: a proof of purchase is sent to you by e-mail.

Can we load and validate several tickets for ourselves, as well as for other people accompanying us?

No, it is not possible for several people to travel simultaneously using the same phone. We invite your companions to install the TCL E-Ticket application on their own phone or to buy their ticket at a TCL point of sale.

I want to change my registered bank details

After selecting the desired fare, uncheck the "Use this card" box as circled in blue on the image here and check "I'm saving my payment card to make future purchases easier".

Questions related to validation:

How do I validate with my phone?

Simply hold your phone up to a validator (screen facing you) without sliding it as you would with the TCL card. You can validate without opening TCL e-ticket, just make sure the screen is on (no need to unlock the phone). Please note that to work, the phone must be switched on and NFC must be enabled in your phone's settings. A metal shell may block communication between the validator and the phone.

Why validate with your phone?

Current legislation stipulates that validation is mandatory for every access to the network. The first validation activates the ticket and starts its validity. Without this validation, which takes place simply by approaching the phone to the validator, the ticket is not validated and exposes you to a fine in the event of a control. For gated entrances, validation allows the gate to open. Validation in transit does not require a new ticket during the transfer period.

Why are certain tickets given priority?

To help you pay the right price, if you have several tickets on your cell phone, the validator selects the most suitable ticket. Generally speaking, the least expensive title will be validated first.

How to change this priority?

From the home page, you can choose to validate one of your titles first. For example, if you have a single ticket and a 24h ticket, you can select the 24h ticket in order to validate it first.

The validator refused my phone even though I have valid tickets.

Some tickets can only be used on specific dates such as TCL en fête.

The TCL e-ticket application regularly connects to the internet in order to update your travel rights.

If you are disconnected from the internet for more than 24 hours, your phone may be refused. In this case, simply activate your mobile data in order to update your rights. The TCL E-Ticket application will notify you if you are in this case."

Account-related questions:

I'd like to change my phone or phone number.

Please first use the change phone optionpresented on the "My account" page. You will then be able to register with another phone (or the same one) by indicating your phone number (and possibly the new number in case of change). You'll then be able to retrieve all your vouchers immediately.

I've lost or had my phone stolen.

You can log in to your account from your new phone. You'll get your unused tickets back after a few days.

What's the point of creating an account?

Creating an account is necessary for the E-ticket application to work properly. In addition, the account allows you to retrieve your tickets in the event of a change of phone and to receive receipts by email.

I have uninstalled the application: can I retrieve my tickets?

Just reinstall the application and reconnect to your account. If you used the change phone option you will then get all your titles back immediately. If you had not used the change phone button, a few days of reconstitution will be necessary before finding your unused vouchers.

Is it possible to transfer vouchers from the TCL card to this application?

No. The virtual card in the application cannot retrieve vouchers loaded on TCL card.

I deleted the data from the app: what happens to the vouchers?

Your unused vouchers can be retrieved by reconnecting to your account. If you used the change phone option, you'll get all your tracks back immediately. If you did not use the change phone button, it will take a few days for your unused vouchers to be restored.

When I created my account, I did not receive the SMS code.

Check that the phone number you entered is correct. Also check that your phone connection is active. If it is, SMS messages will be delivered as soon as you reconnect.

Please note: after 3 registration requests, you'll have to wait 24 hours before trying again.

I don't want to give my mobile number

The phone number is required to install the application. This number will only be used to link your phone to your TCL account, allowing you to retrieve your vouchers if your phone is lost.

I don't want to give my email

The email is required to install the application. The email is used to send you purchase receipts and to retrieve your titles if your phone number changes.

I want to create an account for my child/mother and have control over it

This function is not available. However, you can install the application on your loved one's phone. When purchasing title, your payment card verification code will be required.

When I want to create my account, I enter my phone number + email address and the www.tcl.fr page opens

You must have clicked on the "privacy policy" link located under the phone number and email. Check that the button to the right of the "privacy policy" link is visible and activate it. If this button is not visible, go to "PARAMETERS/DISPLAY/zoom screen and font" and reduce the zoom level and/or font size.

Questions related to compatibility:

Does the application work on an unlocked ("rooted") phone?

Operation on an unlocked phone is not guaranteed, as unlocking makes the phone's operation unstable. Debriding can interfere with the proper functioning of validation, as well as with the stability of applications.

Is my phone compatible with the TCL E-Ticket application?

The TCL E-Ticket application is compatible with an Android cell phone, version 5 or higher, featuring an NFC chip except the Nexus 5X and 5 , the Pixel 2, 2XL, XL, 3, 3a, 3a XL, 3XL, 4, 4a, 4XL, the Asus Z00A, Z00A_1, Z00A_3, Fairphone4 FP4, Motorola Nexus 6, moto g pro, Vivo V2066.

I can't find the app on the store

The app is called "TCL E-ticket". It only appears on the Play Store if your phone has NFC technology, enabling dialogue with validators.

I have an iPhone

An iPhone version is not yet available as Apple does not yet allow this service.

I have a foreign phone number

The application accepts all phone numbers (however, you need to be able to receive SMS messages when validating your account).

I don't have an internet subscription on my mobile

A wifi connection is all you need to install the application and acquire transport tickets. You can then travel even without an internet connection. Please note: the application must connect to the internet from time to time to continue to function.
