Can foreign correspondents hosted by students who are TCL subscribers travel free on the TCL network?

Foreign pen pals hosted by students who are TCL subscribers can benefit from one-off free transport on the TCL network.

Conditions for granting free transport:
  • The foreign pen pal is hosted by a French pen pal who is a TCL subscriber as part of a school exchange during the school year.
  • The French exchange student who receives a foreign exchange student is a junior high or high school student.
  • Free transport is granted to the foreign exchange student to travel on a Junior Direct school line serving the school establishment for a maximum of 30 calendar days.
  • The foreign exchange student is picked up free of charge within the limits of available vehicle seats.

The school must make a written request at minimum 15 working days in advance to the address [email protected] specifying:

  • the first and last names of the foreign student correspondent and the French student correspondent receiving him/her
  • the TCL or Oùra card number of the French student correspondent
  • the period during which the foreign correspondent will need to travel on the Junior Direct school line
  • the number of the Junior Direct school line on which the foreign student correspondent will need to travel.

The school is solely responsible for validating the procedures for issuing the authorization for free transport.

A certificate of circulation is issued to each foreign correspondent pupil, who must present it to the driver each time they board the Junior Direct school line vehicle.
